Runners last week and declarations w/c 15 January 2007

Tuesday was a great day with Magic Glade winning at Southwell, our first winner in 2007. I am delighted for Magic Glade's owners who have entrusted three of their horses to my care.

It was downhill after Tuesday.

Master of the Race ran disappointingly on desperate ground at Wincanton. He came out of the race fine, losing very little weight and scoping clean. I'll leave it three weeks before entering him again and, hopefully, by then the ground will have dried up somewhat.

Berkhamsted also ran disappointingly on Saturday at Lingfield after his great run 10 days earlier. It was a very slowly run race which did not suit him.

Neither Dolly nor The Perfect Plan were able to get a run at Kempton on Sunday, both being eliminated through the ballot.

Entries w/c 15 January

Tuesday 16 January will be a busy day. I have declared Mill By The Stream at Southwell for the handicap at 1.30pm. The Perfect Plan is declared for the handicap at 3.00pm.

On the same day Magic Glade is declared at Wolverhampton in the 3.40pm race over 5 furlongs.
