Day 4 Thursday 9 August 2007

I spoke to the family last night telling my eldest daughter how much I was enjoying myself and that I wanted to stay. She replied 'I thought you might say that!' The younger was more interested in knowing if I had ridden anything and which horses I was looking after. I told my husband that there are a few houses for sale down here but that I hadn't checked the prices. 'Hmmm...' was the reply.

It was a little cooler this morning and I found myself thinking 'would I still be enjoying this as much if it was wet, windy and cold?' and the answer was 'yes'. Having worked with horses before and climbing telegraph poles as an engineer, I am no stranger to being soaked through and freezing cold.

Walking the horse to the pool, catching in, turning out and normal stable duties are great for toning up my flabby bits and, although it can be physically tiring, I feel much fitter and it should be recommended as the new health spa. I feel a massage wouldn't go amiss but the manicures would be wasted.
