Ride of the Week

Tom O'Ryan writes in Tuesday's Racing Post:

Richard Kingscote (apprentice)
Gross Prophet, Newbury

Richard Kingscote has plenty of experience and the 3lb claimer made it count with this sterling effort on Gross Prophet in the 6f nursery. Mainly in front until halfway, he did not panic when his outpaced mount then went through a flat spot. Getting back on top inside the last, Kingscote proved his mettle by narrowly beating such a mean finisher as Jimmy Fortune in a close-run thing. Great stuff.

Richard rides Clifton Dancer today at Lingfield.
