Entries etc

Entries, declarations and runners w/c 25 June

We had a few entries for the beginning of the week but the incessant rain put paid to those plans. Our only runner this week will be on Saturday when Magic Glade heads the weights in a 5f handicap at Chester, drawn seven of 10 runners. The race is timed for 4.30 pm, can be seen on RUK and Richard Thomas rides.

Entries, declarations and runners w/c 2 July

At the moment we have just two entries next week both on Wednesday evening, 4 July. Jazamataz, a 2yo, is entered in a fillies maiden at Kempton at 6.50 pm and Master of the Race is entered at Chepstow at 7.10 pm in a 1 mile claimer.

Sawwaah's third

Sawwaah achieved his third win on the trot at Brighton on Wednesday. Despite this, he won't be running on Saturday.

Shawhill in France

Shawhill did fantastically well in France on Tuesday to finish second in the listed race at Lion D'Angers. This is what his owner, Bert Black, had to say .....

"I’ve had an enormous number of second places this year, and there haven’t been many that I have been genuinely happy about. Shawhill’s courageous second place in France, clobbered close to the line with a decent gap back to third, is one I will remember affectionately for a long time.

Taking a horse abroad is not easy. We took Shawhill across on the overnight ferry on Sunday night - it was very hot and she lost a lot of weight. The whole trip was 17 hours, which is not pleasant for a horse. Despite this she ran a great race - she took up the running around 2 furlongs out and ran on, looking for a while as if she would hold on but being hauled in close to the line. The time was excellent. All this from a filly we claimed less than two months ago for £17k.

Great credit goes to Tom Dascombe, who trained and placed the horse, and Mick Stone who spotted her."

Declarations and entries w/c 4 June 2007

Winner number 10 for the year
Sawwaah did the business at Brighton on Sunday 3 June winning a 1mile 2 furlong handicap under a fantastic ride from Jim Crowley. This made up for his near miss last week when he should have won but came third.

I have now entered him for Newbury on Saturday at 6.30 p.m.when Michaela will ride him in a Lady Amateur Rider's race. I am sure he will run his usual game race.

Declarations and Entries w/c 4 June

Our first 2yo runner of the year, Treacle Noir, is declared for Lingfield on Tuesday. It will be an anxious time seeing how she runs on her debut as it will be a pointer to the other youngsters in the yard. Our second 2yo runner goes on Wednesday at Nottingham, Clifton Dancer. On the same day Gross Prophet, also a 2yo, is running at Kempton’s evening meeting.

Other entries made for this week are :

Master of the Race at Sandown on Thursday evening at 9.00 p.m.

Magic Glade at Musselburgh on Saturday at 3.45 p.m a race which is on Channel 4

Bold Diktator for the ONEWAY RSM Racing Club at Newbury on Saturday at 7.30 p.m
