I am sure many of you saw Marine Boy run at Newbury on Saturday, I was very pleased with his run bearing in mind that four weeks before he was clearly wrong. I hadn't been able to get as much work into him as I would have liked and so therefore he was quite tired, so taking all into account it was a positive result.

I would now hope that the horses are all fit and healthy and look forward to seeing them back to previous form in the next couple of weeks.

Up date on our horses

We haven't had a runner for a couple of weeks. On Wednesday we had 36 horses scoped following their recent apparent lack of well-being.

The results of these were all much better than two weeks ago. Just a few horses will remain on drugs for another week to clear up any remaining problems.

We will have our first runner at Newbury this Saturday when Marine Boy runs at 2.35pm in the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes. His performance should give us a guide to the well-being of the horses and if he runs okay, we aim to be back in full swing within a couple of weeks.
