

The following 2yo's are available for sale. Those purchased in euros are payable in sterling at the exchange rate applicable on the day you purchase the 2yo from us. The cost quoted is the auction price plus the 6% buyer’s premium payable to the Sales company. Purchasers should be aware that other expenses will also be due such as veterinary examination before purchase at the Sales, the trainer’s sales expenses, our bloodstock agent’s 5% commission, the wind test at the Sales, transport to Manor House Stables and insurance to 28 August 2010. The insurance can be terminated by you on purchase and a pro rata refund of the premium will be repaid to you. In addition keep costs will accrue at the rate of £1,000 per month from the date of the Sale.

Lot 90 chesnut colt by Compton Place ex Our Sheila £34,000.
The dam won four races over 5 to 6 furlongs. This colt is her first foal. The second dam had five winners from seven runners including the champion 2yo filly in Italy in 1994, Shifting Place, who was also sired by Compton Place. She won a group 3 and was second in a group 2.

Striking Ambition is a first season sire. He won nine races over 5 to 6 furlongs at 2 to 5 years including a Group 2 and a Group 3 and six listed races in Germany, France, Ireland and England. The dam won one race and this is her first foal. She is a great mover, very athletic and a real racey sort. Both Tom and Ed Sackville, his bloodstock adviser, thought that she was the nicest yearling on offer at the sale. She was the most expensive lot on the day and they are delighted to have bought her. The dam won five races in the USA and is the dam of two winners from four runners. Her 2001 colt foal by Silver Charm (USA) won nine races in the USA including a group 2 and two group 3's. Her 2004 filly foal by Lomitas won a race and came second in two listed races and third in a group 3. He qualifies for the 2009 Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme worth £10,000.

A lovely, athletic yearling, bred by the prolific sire of winners Danehill Dancer. The dam is a listed winner and has had a winner from her only runner. Tom could not believe that he had been able to buy her at the price. She is a May foal and will need a little time.

This Arc winning first season sire has produced a lovely filly out of a winning Green Desert mare. She is bred to stay and will need time but the investment looks as though it will be well worth it.

An athletic, racey colt out of a dam who has bred five winners from seven runners, of which four won at two. Tom thinks this colt will be a certain 2yo winner (but no promises!) The colt qualifies for French bred premiums.
